Anniversary of the UN's adoption of the Convention on the Rights of the Child in 1989.

About the day

Established in 1954 as Universal Children's Day. On 20 November the UN adopted the Declaration of the Rights of the Child (1959) and the Convention on the Rights of the Child (1989), the most widely ratified human rights treaty. Pakistan ratified it in 1990.
