International Day for Monuments and Sites; Pakistan's World Heritage Sites include Mohenjo-daro, Taxila and the Lahore Fort.

About the day

Proposed by ICOMOS in 1982 and approved by UNESCO in 1983. Pakistan has six World Heritage Sites: Mohenjo-daro, Taxila, Takht-i-Bahi, the Lahore Fort and Shalimar Gardens, the Makli monuments at Thatta, and Rohtas Fort.
