A park that combines Cholistan desert, planted forest and the Patisar lake, and a UNESCO biosphere reserve.
Its desert, forest and wetland habitats support chinkara, nilgai, hog deer, and many resident and migratory birds.
Lal Suhanra is famous for its blackbuck breeding programme, which brought this antelope back to Pakistan after it became extinct in the wild.
It was declared a UNESCO biosphere reserve in 1977.
