19th Prime Minister of Pakistan (2012–2013)
In office: 2012 – 2013
Raja Pervez Ashraf, a Pakistan Peoples Party politician and former Water and Power Minister, was elected Prime Minister in 2012 after Yousaf Raza Gillani's disqualification, completing the final year of the PPP government's term.
Ashraf is remembered chiefly for steering the government through to the completion of its full term in 2013, a first for an elected government in Pakistan's history.
Term ended with the government's completion of its full five-year mandate in March 2013; succeeded by a caretaker government ahead of elections won by Nawaz Sharif's PML(N).
