Biography

Rafi ud-Daulah, who took the title Shah Jahan II, was installed by the Sayyid brothers as their second puppet emperor within months, immediately after the death of Rafi ud-Darajat, but was also in poor health and ruled only briefly.

Legacy

Shah Jahan II's reign, like his immediate predecessor's, is remembered only as part of the Sayyid brothers' rapid succession of short-lived puppet emperors in 1719.

How it ended

Died of illness in September 1719, after a reign of roughly three months.
