Background

Gurdwara Darbar Sahib is about 4.5 km from the Indian border in Narowal district. Pakistan built the corridor, an expanded gurdwara complex and an immigration terminal, and Prime Minister Imran Khan opened it on 9 November 2019, ahead of Guru Nanak's 550th birth anniversary. Pilgrims pay a service fee and return the same day.
